Lil gymnast

Teagan officially started gymnastics. Today was her second week and she loved it! And she's got skillz! Had to throw a z up in there!

Her favorite part is hands down the foam pit! She couldn't wait to play in there today! They save it for the end.

She even swung on the rope and fell off which she didn't want to do the first day!

We go while Pres is at pre-k. It's nice to see her interacting with kids her age without big sister. She made a little friend today and they played and laughed together. It was so sweet!

It's funny because Presley doesn't throw fits in front of people (except family - they get the pleasure of the good, the bad, and the ugly), but Teagan doesn't give a darn! In such a small setting, it's a little embarrassing! She did great for the most part. She just had her moments! As always!

Going on a walk

Oh these days have been gorgeous! I've been really trying to get all of us out to enjoy them. Plus our pup needs exercise so he doesn't terrorize the house.

So we set out with the stroller although you can't see it here (last time I was carrying both girls back to the car)!

The girls have wanted to "go running" with me so now was their chance. And they were off like a shot! It obviously didn't last too long.

Even the pup started getting worn out and when we would pass shade, he'd take a seat and cool off a bit! (we'd only been walking no longer than 10 minutes!

And then before long, this is what I had!

He was whining to get in, so we let him. And then Teagan kept saying, "there's three many people in here!". I hear ya sister!

Puppy Love

The girls have enjoyed the new pup.

They've played baby with him. (He's in the highchair!)

They've cuddled him while he slept.

They've carried him around.

And held him in the car. (You can see how much he's grown!)

But lately it's become a love/hate relationship as he nips at their heels and chews on their toys. And frankly, I feel the same way when he pees on my floors.

A glimpse into the future...

Borrowing cousin Madden's ride.

Sisterhood

Captured a sweet sister moment on my phone. Presley brushing Weegie's hair and Weegie singing.

Octoberfest

In Addison! Not to be confused with the one in McKinney in a couple weeks! (We drove to McKinney and then realized our friends were in Addison! Oops! It was my fault!)

Anywho! We had fun! And more importantly, the girls had a blast!!

There was face painting!

..and Victoria's...

Dragon roller coasters!

A carousel.

Dancing

There were more rides, food and lots of German beer! We wanted to pace ourselves and not spend too much because the state fair is coming up but there was too much fun to have!

Allergies

Price has them! Today he tried some internet remedy you mix household ingredients together, that involved lots of garlic, in the humidifier. It stunk the whole house up!

I think he decided after I cleaned it all up that it didn't really work.

Broccoli

My previously picky eater...

That would be broccoli! And she ate it up! And last night she ate asparagus. And a couple nights before that it was sugar snap peas. I've found a new cooking method we are all loving and it's EASY! One word - blanching. Boil water. Put veggie in water and cook for 3 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water. The color becomes vivid and it stays crunchy and just D-lish!

Sacked out!

After we went swimming at Aunt Shell's, on the way home I found myself jammin' out to kid music by myself! Here's the party going on in the backseat!

Couch to 5K

You may have heard about the couch to 5K running plan. Basically if you want to start running this program starts you off slowly - running 60 seconds at a time. I actually skipped ahead to running a whopping 90 seconds at a time, whoohoo! And that was actually tough. Embarrassingly, I haven't had cardio exercise in so long, it took a while for my lungs to expand! Anyway, at the end of the running plan you are able to run 5K.

I have been wanting to run for a while. Alison ran a half marathon last year and it was very inspiring. And then I started having dreams where I was running, and it was so effortless (only in my dreams!). So me, Alison, and Kenzie started meeting at the track and running in the mornings while the dads took care of the sleeping kiddos. We eventually moved our efforts to the neighborhood.

I always said, "I'm not a runner." I always got a stitch in my side. Alison had two tips for running. First, slow down. Then, slow down some more. And literally, this is what helped me. I used my trusty RunKeeper app to pace myself (11:30 minute miles - slow and steady!). She actually had one more tip for running, every once in a while, take a deeper breath in.

So after about 9 weeks of working hard towards the goal of running 5K, I finally had my chance at Rockwall's Rib Rub and Run this past Saturday. I came in 111th out of over 200 participants at 34:07.

My and Alison before we started! Jay ran too!

Price videoed my finish! He was couching the girls to say, "Come on T-jones!"

And then here's all of us afterwards - red face and all!

Price's birthday!

We partied hard for Price's 31st birthday last week! First, we hid out away from windows at the house until the tornado warning expired. Then we headed out to Kyoto with the girls for hibachi (the girls LOVE hibachi!). Price threatened not to tell the people there it was his birthday, but I thought it was just mandatory and would be fun for the girls.

Obviously I wasn't quick enough with the camera! We had so much leftover food, and it was just as good the next day!

Happy birthday, Boo!

Fun at Honey & Poppa's

First, I'm loving my new blog app! I can blog from my phone! Alison told me about apps for blogging and thought it was a great idea!

So anywho, get ready to see more of us here!

Whenever we go to Honey's, Honey sets out Kathy from Mexico who always 'sneaks out when she hears the girls are coming' and she greets them on the porch. Teagan got to her first!

Here they are watching about 5 minutes of a movie while sharing a beanbag and fruit loops!

Presley singing in the playroom.

Maverick got his third round of puppy shots so he was so sore and slept the whole time we were there!

Bowling!!

The other day we wanted to have some family fun and decide
to take the girls bowling. They LOVED it!

Their shoes were the cutest part!

Puppy Fun

Maverick likes to knock over his toy bucket and get in
his basket and take a nap.
